2012 Book List

Hello Everyone!

At our most recent Book Club meeting, we nailed down a book schedule and thought you'd all like to know. Our next meeting will be January 12th, time and location TBD and we will be discussing Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

After those copies are gone, it will be up to you to buy, download or check out a copy for yourself. The same goes for the books we will not have a book club set for, with the exception of the Feb. 2012 book, Variant, of which the Women & Wives group will purchase for those interested (And since Rob works for PSI, it'll probably be an autographed copy, at that ;).

Book Club Updates

We had a fun time at our first book club meeting, and even though we were
few in number-we had some serious bookworms on hand!

We decided that for the first month we would read The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. We thought it would be a fairly easy read to start with, it includes some serious issues, yes, it's a little sad, and yet it has some fun and happy things too. What can I say, I like it. I hope you do too.

I got a book club kit from Orem Library, so there are 12 copies of the book that anyone who's interested can borrow. I had Kurt take them to the Novell office where you or your spouse can pick one up. There are also some small book journals so you can write down your thoughts on the book. So-go grab one from Kurt's office! I even made him hang a sign in the window. Haha.

We will have the next meeting at my house and I will lead the discussion. We will, of course, have some refreshments and we hope to see you there! We are planning on holding the meeting on the second Tues again, May 12 at 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Let me know what time is better for you! Feel free to contact me anytime. Below is a list of what we have picked for the next few months and a list of suggested books that those of us at the meeting have enjoyed. More details to follow!

1st Book Club Meeting!

Our first book club meeting will be next week, Thursday April 14th at 8:00 pm. It will be at my house. The address if 503 North Orem Blvd, Orem UT 84057. We are on the North side of the complex and we are upstairs, #503. You can park anywhere that isn't covered. You can pick your five suggestions from any genre you want and we'll see what everyone likes. If you can't be there but would like to be involved you can post your suggestions on google groups or email me directly at kelliradmall@gmail.com. Also, after the meeting I will post a list of what we have chosen. I've never been part of a book club, so bear with me:) Also, I don't know if you saw the info for Amber's Mary Kay event for Breast Cancer Research, but I believe it starts at 7:00, so if you wanted to make it both I think it would be possible. See ya there! Kelli Radmall

Just thought you should know...

If some of you are looking for a Mary Kay rep, or if you already get it but want your purchase to also help a cause, I thought you'd be interested in meeting Amber Hancock, a new PS employee! She'll be hosting a Mary Kay event next week.

An email was already sent out with the information, so I won't be reposting it, but what wasn't mentioned is that 25% of your purchase at her event will go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

for more information email Amber at ahancock@propertysolutions.com

PS In the future, if you or your husband have a service or announcement you would like to tell other employees or their wives about, email me at women@propertysolutions.com and (after getting approval) I will post the info on here. Thanks!

Name Change

Just wanted to let you know that the "Housewives of PSI" will undergo a name change soon.
This group was initially going to be for wives of the employees, but expanded to women employees AND wives. We will adjust the title to include everyone : )

-Paige

Book Club

Hey girls! I am thinking of having the first meeting for the book club
next week on Thurs April 14th. If this day works for ya'll then we
will have the book club on the second Thursday of each month.

I think
we should get together and talk about what types of books we would
like to read and we can plan the books for the next six months or so.
I was thinking I would have everyone bring a list of 5 book
suggestions for the club and we can collaborate and figure out some
good things to read!

I will either have our first meeting at my condo
in Orem or at my Mom's house in Provo depending on how many people
would like to come. I will provide some sort of snack or treat. Please
let me know if you would be able and interested in coming and I
will send out the final plans. If this day doesn't work for you, let
me know so we can schedule a day when a lot of us can come. You can RSVP by leaving a comment here,
or emailing housewives@propertysolutions.com

Thanks!

Nice to Meet You

Though I can't speak for everyone, I think its safe to say we had a great time last night! The cupcakes were GREAT, I ate too many swedish fish, and we played Things. I got a kick out of watching people point to someone across the room and ask "Schnookums?" "Nag?" "George Clooney?" over and over and over. (Don't get it? You had to be there!!)

Amanda Robbins provided some great treats for us, thanks Amanda!

I'm so grateful for the women that came and let me take a group pic : ) Getting to know each other is the whole purpose of this group! I'm sorry some of you couldn't make it and I hope to see you next time!

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Yay!

One last reminder about our first activity! I'm actually super excited about it (which is strange for me due to a horrible case of social anxiety)! Have you ever played Catch Phrase? We'll be playing it. Why? Because its crazy and you can't help but laugh!

Brush up on your Property Solutions trivia, because there may be a game or two involving some.

Desserts will all be fat free and healthy! ...NOT. They will be yummy and probably full of calories, but don't let that stop you from coming, cause there will also be ice water.

Leave your work behind, your kiddies at home, and come get to know everyone!

Oh, and I'm serious about Johnny Hanna, my husband, babysitting for people who can't find a sitter. He'll be here with my kids, whats a few more? OR, if your husband is opposed to watching the kids alone, he can bring them to our house, watch the BYU game with Johnny, and let the kids play. (email me if you're interested in that option lpaigehanna@gmail.com)

See you there!

First Activity!

Our first activity will be this Thursday, March 17th, 7:00-8:30.
It will be at Amanda Robbins home (address: 1644 E 350 S, Pleasant Grove)

This activity will be a way to get to know one another! We'll have some fun desserts, play a few games, have a couple giveaways, and just hang out!

Come for as little or long as you'd like and give us your feedback on how the Housewives group can benefit us all!

See you there!

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Welcome!

Hello women and wives of PSI! I'm Paige Hanna, wife of Johnny Hanna. I'm putting this blog together as a way of getting to know one another better. Some of us are stay-at-home moms, some of us are PSI employees, some of us don't have kids, are working, aren't married, are students, and some may be a bit of everything! We all have at least one thing in common, Property Solutions!

I don't know about you, but I get tired of meeting some of you at every Christmas party, and then not seeing you again until the summer BBQ (just to be introduced yet again and feel bad for not remembering the previous 3 introductions). I thought this might be a good way to gather family blogs, arrange some playdates, get together for lunches or dinners, and just get out with some girls!

Luckily, with this being sponsored by PSI, they'll pick up the bill for a few of the things and really allow us to have some fun together.

If you have not yet been added to our Google Group, please send your email address to housewives@propertysolutions.com

Can't wait to meet you all (again)!!
